pb and j shake
Who doesn't love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? I mean, my mom would make the worst pack lunches when I was kid (I would probably love them now as it was all health food) but at least she had enough sense to put in a pb&j sammy. Ok, well this is even better because it's like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but it's also a milk shake! Don't worry, however, because this is a guilt free snack unlike the ice cream treats you will find in the freezer aisle of the grocery store.
Bananas are rich in fiber, contain many essential nutrients, and all the potassium in there is essential for heart health. Strawberries contain a lot of antioxidants which are so important for helping to defend your body against free radicals and diseases. Even maple syrup contains calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc. Lots of goodness to nourish our amazing bodies.
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 frozen banana
5 frozen or fresh strawberries
1 cup of almond milk
4 spoonfuls of PB2 Powder
drizzle of maple syrup
R E C I P E
Blend the frozen banana, strawberries, almond milk, PB2 powder and maple syrup together
Once completely blended pour into glass
Drizzle a little peanut butter on top
Garnish with a fresh strawberry
I also sprinkled some chia seeds on top because it never hurts to get some superfoods in your diet
Once done you can drink like a shake or you can put in the freezer to eat as ice cream later. Both are outstanding options.
